Independent North Carolina retailer begins total liquidation May 22
RALEIGH, N.C. (May 20, 2025) — Family-owned Carolina Furniture Direct is closing its doors for good after providing high-quality furniture to Raleigh and surrounding communities for three generations. The owner will retire following the final liquidation of all merchandise and inventory.
Carolina Furniture Direct opens its going-out-of-business sale to the public May 22 at 8401 Glenwood Avenue between Raleigh-Durham International Airport and Crabtree Mall. Across the 30,000-square-foot showroom, a wide variety of home furnishings will be offered at deep discounts with up to 50% off home accessories.
All inventory must be liquidated including heirloom rugs from around the world and furniture from famous brands such as Bassett, Coast to Coast, England, Hickorycraft, Hooker Furniture, Leather Italia, Riverside, Tommy Bahama, Universal, Vaughan-Bassett and Whitewood. Management encourages early shopping for the best selection.
